Epistemology

For my first Blog I would like to talk about a word or study that was brought up during class, and that word is Epistemology. This is the study of How we know what we know and what is what we know. I found this very interesting when it was brought up in class and so I looked it up on the Internet. The most interesting thing I found was about Mathematics and how it is a known answer every time. There is no maybe; it is always either right or wrong. But, it isn’t knowing what we know that is the question; the question is how do we know what we know? I found this study very interesting because it isn’t about what we know is right or wrong; it’s all about HOW which boggles my mind. I read about a few different ideas of what some people think is the reasoning behind how we do know and some of them were crazy. They call this the “Regress Problem” and is shown as we know what we know through different types of familiarity. I read about these different ideas of how we know and found way to many to write about but they had me realize that we all learn and attain knowledge through experience. Any thoughts about that?
